Last month, I reviewed Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi #0, the precursor to Dark Horse’s upcoming Star Wars title. The high quality represented in the zeroth issue carries over to the first by creating a believable and much sought after creation tale to the Jedi and Sith orders.
Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi #1 begins with a brief recap of the Je’daii’s migration to Tython and subsequent foundation. It succinctly wraps up all the pertinent information from the zeroth issue, re-presenting it in an easy-to-read fashion by implementing a plot device that has a ‘present day’ Je’daii orating his people’s history to some of the younger members of the order.
